SENSITIVE & DIFFICULT CONTENT
Movies are most often a reflection of the social and cultural climate and norms at the time of their creation. As The Dreamland is primarily a repertory cinema, we will screen movies from throughout the history of film, which means there may be problematic representations of race, homophobic stereotypes, sexual violence, or other depictions that are troubling, insensitive, or unsavory. In other words, our programming may sometimes contain content that could be viewed as controversial or offensive when viewed through a modern lens.
We encourage you to research any film you may be interested in on IMDB or other websites that provide details on potentially difficult, sensitive, or triggering content.
Resources
After searching for the film's title on IMDB and clicking into its page, click on “Parents Guide” (found in the Storyline section) which includes information on all kinds of content.
