SENSITIVE & DIFFICULT CONTENT
Movies are most often a reflection of the social and cultural climate and norms at the time of their creation. As The Dreamland is primarily a repertory cinema, we will screen movies from throughout the history of film, which means there may be problematic representations of race, homophobic stereotypes, sexual violence, or other depictions that are troubling, insensitive, or unsavory. In other words, our programming may sometimes contain content that could be viewed as controversial or offensive when viewed through a modern lens.
We encourage you to research any film you may be interested in on IMDB or other websites that provide details on potentially difficult, sensitive, or triggering content.
After searching for the film's title on IMDB and clicking into its page, click on “Parents Guide” (found in the Storyline section) which includes information on all kinds of content.
Advance tickets are available online up to one hour before show time. The Dreamland Cinema opens 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the show. Tickets can be purchased from the on-site box office with credit/debit card or Venmo. We can accept cash if provided with exact change.
All ticket sales are final, and cannot be cancelled or exchanged, although you can transfer your tickets for use by a friend if your plans change.
RUN OF SHOW
The auditorium opens 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the show where in you will be able to choose your seat and enjoy a curated pre-show featuring short films, music videos, and other content related to the feature film. Evening showtimes will also generally feature a short introduction to the film by the programmer. Films typically begin 5-10 minutes after the published start time, so please be early or on-time to ensure you do not miss the start of the movie.
